There are fantastic opportunities to enjoy sea kayaking in the Nairn Kayak Club.
We are fortunate to be located on the Moray Firth , allowing kayaking from Nairn Harbour or its long sandy beaches. Trips range from a summers evening paddle to day trips exploring the local coastline. There are a number of experienced paddlers who will give guidance and coaching for those with less experience. Weekend trips to the west coast open up some opportunities to experience some of the best sea kayaking in the world.
In recent years club members have kayaked in Shetland, the Hebrides, Skye, The Summer Isles and even St Kilda.
Sea sessions are held on Tuesday evenings over the warmer months and you must be ready on the water for 7pm.
The club has a large fleet of plastic Venture Sea Kayaks, with paddles and spray decks for use of club members to make sea kayaking accessible for all, these are stored at the club container at Nairn Harbour for ease of access, a perfect location to head out for a paddle with the sandy beaches and sandbar and further to explore.
All paddlers are asked to be READY AND ON THE WATER for 7pm, meeting at the container at the Nairn Harbour, there is a £2 fee per session.
